Just after the rollout of Ios 11 users started experiencing battery and performance issues which is quite normal and is expected to be fixed in the near future. Ios 11 included new features and capabilities to bring Iphone and Ipad experience to a completely different level. But soon the problems went on increasing according to many people based on their usage analysis. It was later known that the apart from the battery life the major problem was for the users with older Iphones which had slowed down considerably. And it all ended up raising a question “Whether Apple is slowing down their iphones?” Apple had its reputation at stake to which they calmly answered “We know that some of you feel that Apple has let you down. We apologize. All rechargeable batteries are consumable components that become less effective as they chemically age. A chemically aged battery also becomes less capable of delivering peak energy loads, especially in a low state of charge”.Apple cleared that it was all a hardware issue and they slow it down to provide maximum performance on a aged battery. And them posted a article for users to know what factors are responsible for the performance of the device especially aged batteries.

Battery Replacement Program Details:

As stated by Apple “All users with iphone 6 and above are eligible for the program”. Iphone 6s was the major device which was facing this issue. Any user could get their phone’s battery replaced at the company’s service center irrespective of how long the device had been bought. There will be no diagnostic tests to check the battery ,it all comes down to the user’s demand. This battery replacement program has been launched in many countries and will run until December 2018.

Apple has put up an article to the battery replacement procedure. Coming to the pricing details the battery replacement would earlier cost around 6500 INR plus taxes but during this program it would just cost 2000 INR plus taxes. They have slashed down the rates heavily.

Basically a operating system(in this case Ios) is responsible for maximum Gpu and Cpu performance. But when a battery has aged or decayed the performance will automatically degrade. Therefore it is a clear indication of a hardware issue.Apple also assured that they will provide detailed information on how older batteries degraded the performance of the device.

So what is Cloud computing?

Before we go over there we need to understand what a “cloud” is, it absolutely is not water vapor floating around in the atmosphere in it’s condensed form at the least we are not referring to it here, in simple terms cloud means “over the internet”. Cloud Computing is the consignment or delivery of computing services like- servers, databases, networking and a variety of other things. There are companies which offer cloud computing services, these companies are called cloud providers, though only some of them offer the cloud computing services for free.In this post you will learn the cloud computing basics.

We can setup over own Cloud server but it is not recommended for individuals as it is too much of an overkill and not to say that it is also expensive and a painful process. Companies or businesses usually run their own cloud servers as it is both secure and beneficial for them.

  1. Amazon an Multi-Billion Dollar Company is betting high on Cloud, know their history : The Success Story of Amazon.
  2. Microsoft Worlds largest Software Organization & also one of the leading cloud company, know about their Legacy Story : Legacy Microsoft History
  3. Infosys A Trillion Rupee company from india works in cloud : Infosys Success Story

Cloud Computing Basics

The term “Cloud Computing” can be traced back to 2006, when large companies such as Google and Amazon began using “cloud computing” to describe the new paradigm in which people were increasingly accessing data over the Internet instead of on their desktops. But thanks to Technology Review, the coinage of the term was traced back a decade earlier, to an office park outside Houston in the late 1996. At that time, the only technology to be excited about was Netscape’s Web browser. Inside the offices of Compaq Computer, a small group of technology executives were plotting the future of the Internet business and started calling it “cloud computing.”

Their vision was clear they predicted that not only all the business software would move to the Internet, but their termed “cloud computing-enabled applications” like consumer file storage would become common in the future. If not for the two men a Compaq marketing executive named George Favaloro and a young technologist named Sean O’Sullivan in the room, cloud computing would have dramatically different outcomes now. Their prediction did come true after all.

Nowadays, we are seeing technology moving to the cloud more and more. It’s not just a trend, the shift from the traditional software models to the Internet has steadily gained momentum over the last 10 years. We can easily predict that the next decade of cloud computing promises new ways to integrate it into our devices.

As for the question “what is cloud computing?” Essentially, cloud computing is the outsourcing of computer programs. Using cloud computing, users are able to access data like software and applications from wherever they need it, while it is being hosted by a different party on the cloud. This means that the users do not have to worry about things such as storage and power, as the user can access the cloud easily as long as the host functions properly.

  1. Do you know you can earn cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin using cloud : Cloud Mining
  2. Microsoft has big Cloud Computing Plans in 2018 : Microsoft 2018 Predictions

Use of Cloud Computing

You are probably using cloud computing right now, even if you don’t realize it, you ask “How?” Whenever you use an online service to send email, edit documents, watch movies or TV shows, listen to music, play games or store pictures and other files, it is likely that cloud computing is making it all possible from behind the scenes.

It has not even been a decade since the first widely used cloud computing services came into play, but already a variety of organisations have popped up from tiny startups to international corporations, government agencies to non-profit organizations all of them embracing this technology for all sorts of reasons, after all Cloud Computing is rapidly evolving and is being adapted.

Last week the websites of the United States government on the basis of the visitors  clearly indicated that “Windows 10 has overtaken Windows 7 in the long run”.However the stats were only of Microsoft’s US users. To confirm this report, stats from firms such as Netmarketshare and Statcounter were being awaited. On the contrary we found that Windows 10 is still lagging behind Windows 7 even after the year 2017 has come to an end.

Windows 10 continues to pace up in the long run as shared by Statcounter:

Looking at the the growth rate of Windows 10 this summer, analytic firms had said that “Windows 10 will easily overtake Windows 7’s shares by the end of 2017”. According to Microsoft “More than 400 million devices are running Windows 10 in 192 countries across the world”. This heavy increase in number has been due to three of the most important updates named as Anniversary,Creator’s and Fall Creators Update increasing the overall performance especially the gaming part. It is still increasing effectively after some attractive upgrade offers from Microsoft.

As indicated by Netmarketshare reports , Windows 7 just lost 0.04% in December, now having 43.08% of the pie. In correlation Windows 10 increased 0.98%, now standing at 32.93%. Netmarketshare  focuses on all different types of operating system which include windows ,linux, chrome OS, BSD.

Well, Statcounter another analystic firm has put Windows 10 at 41.69% and Windows 7 at 41.89% which suggest  that Windows 10 will top the charts by the first quarter of 2018. These results are found to be more accurate than the ones provided by Netmarketshare.

The main reason for the difference in stats is how they are recorded. They are recorded on basis of actual Os usage(web browsing) while Microsoft calculates the no of systems the Os is installed in.At last it all comes down to how the firm is calculating it.

Microsoft hasn’t revealed yet the actual statistics and thus all the analystic firms can just give us a mere idea of the current numbers. Apart from Windows 10 and Windows 7  Windows 8.1 ,Windows Vista and Windows Xp are still running with decreasing numbers day by day found to be at 9.16%,0.7% and 3.16% respectively.

After a mysterious post on GitHub on August 2016, we now know that Google has been working on a Real-time operating system (RTOS) Fuchsia for over an year, Fuchsia is a capability-based, real-time operating system, unlike android and chrome OS which were based on Linux Kernel, Fuchsia is based on “Zircon” a new micro-kernel, not much light has been shed on the topic except for the fact that it is open-sourced and anyone can contribute to it.

Fuchsia : Everything you need to know

Recently new information surfaced about Fuchsia’s documentation being released, allowing developers to load Fuchsia into Google’s Pixelbook (for those of you who don’t know what a Pixelbook is, it is essentially a laptop/tablet hybrid powered by Google’s own chrome OS).The instructions on how to load Fuchsia into a Pixelbook was released by google here are the instructions. Apparently to load Fuchsia into your Pixelbook you will be needing two machines, one target machine (the machine on which you want to run Fuchsia on) and one host machine (the machine on which you build Fuchsia)

Google has also released instructions on how to install Fuchsia on The Acer switch 12 and Intel NUC, it has to be noted that Fuchsia is still “work in progress”. From the repositories we know that the core kernel is partially based on LK(Little Kernel), LK is a tiny operating system suited for small embedded devices and other small environments like IoT(Internet of things). The fact that Fuchsia is based on LK and is instead being tested on Acer’s Switch 12 and Intel’s NUC should give us enough reason to speculate that Fuchsia shouldn’t be taken lightly and it has a huge potential. We could expect a full fledged Operating system for Desktops soon. As for when and where Google will integrate or use Fuchsia is still a mystery,Only time will tell.

[Most difficult programming languages to learn]

Most difficult programming languages to learn. Programming is the art of developing our logic & enhancing our knowledge to make something beautiful. You might have wondered Programming is boring sometimes especially when you get lots of errors. You may find it interesting when you start it or work with it. But, in this fast changing world nothing is impossible. Over a past few years we saw the rise of new emerging Programming languages like Python & Ruby. But, do you know some of the most difficult programming languages that exists & you didn’t know. Well, that’s the job of CSTechFans to provide you with unique content.

Most difficult programming languages to learn

Whitespace : Most Difficult Programming Language

Whitespace is developed by Edwin Brady and Chris Morris. And was released by 1 April 2003 (April Fool’s Day). As the name suggest ‘whitespaces’ or ‘ ‘ are important characters of this language. One more unique thing about Whitespace is that it ignores any non-whitespace characters. Only spaces, tabs & linefeeds have meaning.

Whitespace “Hello, World” Program

What the Language? Wow! Wait this is just a trailer.

Malbolge : The Confused Language

Malbolge was developed by Ben Olmstead in 1998. Malbolge was designed such that it is impossible to use, via a counter-intuitive ‘crazy operation’, base-three arithmetic, and self-altering code. It is build on difficulty of BrainFuck & Befunge language.

Intercal (Complier Language with No Pronounceable Acronym)

Intercal was created by Don Woods & James M. Lyon two Princeton University Students in 1972. There are two currently maintained versions of INTERCAL: C-INTERCAL and CLC-INTERCAL.

Cow : moO Programming Language

Cow Programming language is a esoteric programming language created by Sean Heber in 2003. It is similar to BrainFuck but is designed humorously with Bovinae in mind. Cow has total 12 instructions. Most instructions are  moos, only the capitalization varies: mOo, moO, mOO, Moo, and so on. MMM, OOO, oom and OOM are the exceptions. All other character combinations are ignored and treated as comments.
“Hello, World!” Cow Program : Esolang

BrainFuck: Finale of esoteric Programming

As the name suggest, BrainFuck is tremendous hard & confusing language. Created in 1993 by Urban Müller. BrainFuck language consists of only 8 Commands and an instruction pointer. It is basically an array of memory cells.

Hello folks, when its come to android apps then we start thinking about java and how to use it. But little we know that even we can use c++ for developing android apps. But we can develop an android app with c, c++ or any other native prgramming language by using Native Devolopment Kit(NDK) which compiles our code into applications that can run on android.
Following are the steps to create your android app with NDK:

1. Android Studio:

First you need to have android studio in your laptop or desktop in which you are going to work. If you don’t have it, then download it from Android Studio. Even we have the latest version of android studio 3.0. Android Studio 3.0.0 is a major release that includes a variety of new features and improvements compared to the other previous versions.

2.NDK package:

After downloading Andrid Studio, install it. Since android studio only has default tools and sdk tools, we need to download NDK packages. We can download them in two ways:
i. We can install it from SDK tools or
ii. Download appropriate NDK packages from NDK site, and install them correctly.

3.Creating your first app:

Lets test this android studio by testing a sample Hello World app. This test is done because we need to know whether NDK tools and android studio has been installed properly or not. Sometime these may require extra configuration. Then select Import an Android code sample and then type hello in the search box to filter the list. Choose Hello JNI(Java Native Interface) from the filtered list under the Ndk category. Click Next to edit the app name and project location, then click Finish.

4. JNI(Java Native Interface):

When the code has been loaded and Gradle has synced, lets look at the project structure. JNI is a framework that enables java apllications to interact with native apps. This JNI and NDK both will helps to support to native android apps. JNI provides two way interface: One is being it calls java codes and interms these java codes calls native methods/functions used in c/c++ or other native programming languages. This inteface helps to work the native code in a standard way as their is a link between java code and native functions of c/c++ code. Make necessary changes to your code and provide graphic features also.

5. Building and running the project:
Once you are done with writing code for your project, then build it. before building it, make sure that you have given the pathname correctly and the location of that project. Then build your project usind android building tools and check if any bugs or errors are there. Then open your terminal, and by using terminal, open app/src/main/jni/ and run ndk-build NDK_LIBS_OUT=../jniLibs. After running, this command builds the native code and it saves the resulting shared object (.so) files to the jniLibs folder.
If you don’t find ndk-build, then add its path to the PATH environment table.

Then continue with running and follow these steps to develop your c++ android apps. But the steps mentioned above are mandatory, because you need to configure your system before using it so that you won’t be able to face any difficulties while coding. And by using NDK you will get to know so many things, but before that you need to install the proper NDK package so that it won’t cause any problems while coding or even loading and compiling it.
But using NDK is generally not preferred as it hit the performance of the app, compatability issues, hard to debug, and some flexibility problems. Overall the main reason to develop an android app is to have smooth functioning. If that app is not comaptible with the user phone then it will be most annoying. So be careful while installing NDK packages. Choose the correct NDK package and enjoy coding and turn your coding skills to developing apps. Happy learning!!!

Reliance JioTV Web legal issues

Reliance JioTV is no longer available on web due to legal issues: JioTv is the mobile app in which we all enjoy watching videos. Similarly a week ago, Reliance launched the web version of tthis JioTv. But due to some technical problems it has been taken down.

France puts Facebook on notice over WhatsApp data transfers

Now a days Facebook and whatspp are ruling the world. Recently we heard news like France puts Facebook on notice over whatsapp data transfer. The reason being is, Facebook and WhatsApp have been issued with formal notices by France’s data protection watchdog warning that data transfers being carried out for ‘business intelligence’ purposes currently lack a legal basis — and consequently that Facebook Inc, WhatsApp’s owner, has violated the French Data Protection Act.

List of issues reported from Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users since its launch.

We all know that Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones have great camera features. Despite of these camera features it has other drawbacks also. Pixel 2 XL has some display issues. Major display issue is Screen burn.

Hello folks, I think we all are facing problems with lock screen ads on our phone. Even though our phone is securely lock with default security lock of phone, we still have some ads on our lock screen. And this annoys us a lot. Obviously, for example you are in hurry to call someone and you are trying to open your lock of the phone but by mistake you click on one of the ad and it will take you to some other site or to some other webpage.

In order to reduce this, Google has come up with the idea of banning these annoying ads on android apps. Main problem with these ads are regarding privacy and securityof the user. By placing ads on android apps, developer will get benifit of that but user will face problem with security and privacy. If Google sets some rules and regulation regarding lock screen ads then user will use the app without any disturbance.

Playstore rule: If any developer continue to place ads on their apps then that developer would be most likely to throw away from playstore account and he/she will be most likely to lose all credentials.

In an effort more to reduce the unstoppable tendency of the climate of our planet to go from bad to worse. Microsoft has invested $50 million in the development of artificial intelligence for researchers and organizations working in the search for solutions to improve the areas of agriculture, biodiversity and climate change among others.

It is not a secret to anyone that our planet is suffering from our tireless consumerism and lack of awareness about the preservation of the environment, that is why these initiatives could help to reverse this trend.

“At Microsoft, we believe artificial intelligence is a game changer. Our approach as a company is focused on democratizing AI so its features and capabilities can be put to use by individuals and organizations around the world to improve real-world outcomes. There are few societal areas where AI can be more impactful than in helping address the urgent work needed to monitor, model and manage the earth’s natural systems. said Brad Smith, Microsoft’s president and chief legal officer.

Many scientists throw us bad omens about the destiny of our planet in 50 years, to preserve some hope we have to bet on new technologies that help us find new ways to generate energy and to conserve our resources better. In this context artificial intelligence could help us see beyond our capabilities.

This program research has main focus in three pillars: Access to the information, Education and Innovation. in which we can already see some practical applications in the real world:

Agder Energi, an electrical plant in Norway that produces renewable energy, already uses Microsoft’s cloud and AI to capture, analyze and act in a better way, on the intelligence gathered through the electrical network.

Smart Buildings

Some estimates suggest that in the United States, buildings are responsible for about 40% or total energy consumption. Therefore, an improvement in efficiency of up to 15% in buildings would result in a 6% reduction in overall energy consumption, according to Smith.

Agriculture

Microsoft visualizes a future with broadband connectivity for each farm and internet sensors for each acre of land. With Artificial Intelligence, the aim is not only to analyze better the conditions of the land and the fall of rain, but to use predictive analytics to improve agricultural fields and reduce the adverse impact on the environment.
